For our first post, we'll have our first book roundup ever! Here are five young adult books that I enjoyed reading recently (in no particular order!), and I hope you'll consider checking them out!

1. The Beginning of Everything, written by Robyn Schneider
This book is one part hilarious, one part thoughtful, and all parts amazing! The story follows a high school senior named Ezra, who was part of the popular crowd until a car accident breaks his knee and ruins his tennis career and social standing. However, Ezra ends up finding a new, faithful group of friends, including his old best friend Toby, the new girl, named Cassidy Thorpe, and other friends from his debate team. The story is funny, unique, and relatable, all at the same time. I hope you'll read this one-it's one of my recent favorites.

2. The Vigilante Poets of Selwyn Academy, written by Kate Hattemer
I haven't finished this book yet, but so far, it's shaping up to be really good. The narrator has a fresh, unique voice that I just love! Plus, it has a ton of interesting literary tidbits (tricolon, anyone?) that are perfect for a book nerd like me!

3. Paper Towns, by John Green
Personally, I think this is John Green's best novel, although I haven't finished TFIOS yet, but personally I think it's a great book. The book depicts first an exhilarating midnight adventure involving the main character, Quentin, and his longtime crush, Margo Roth Spiegelman. Then, Margo goes missing, and Quentin and his friends go on an epic road trip to try to find her, before it's too late. The book is both funny and thoughtful, and it's one of my all time favorites.

4. Amy and Roger's Epic Detour, by Morgan Matson
Morgan Matson is by far one of my favorite authors, and Amy and Roger's Epic Detour is possibly my favorite book that she's written. Even though it's sort of sad, as Amy tries to work through her grief over her father's death, it's full of happy, funny, and exciting moments too. Plus, I love that it's a long book, because I never wanted it to end!

5. On Little Wings, by Regina Sirois
This book is possibly one of the best I have ever read. Sirois has the most beautiful, eloquent way with words, and the imagery in the novel is absolutely gorgeous. The story is about a girl who finds out she has an aunt that she's never met or even heard of, and goes to Maine to find her. Throughout the story, she gets to know her aunt, makes new friends, finds a possible romance, and tries to mend the rift between her mom and aunt. Please, please read this one!
