1. Side Effects May Vary, by Julie Murphy
This book is one of those that has already been released, but I haven't read yet. It's about a girl who is diagnosed with leukemia, and told that she will die within the next few months, causing her to go on a mission to right all the wrongs she sees in the world, along with her best friend Harvey (who has feelings for her!) before she dies. However, just when she finishes her crazy bucket list, she learns that she isn't going to die after all, leaving her to deal with the aftermath of her expedition and try to sort out her relationship with Harvey.
2. To All the Boys I've Loved Before, by Jenny Han
This novel has also been out for a little while. I read Jenny Han's original series, including The Summer I Turned Pretty, and really enjoyed it, so I'll be excited to read this new book of hers. I hope this novel ends up as part of a full series too.
3. The Fault in Our Stars, by John Green
I just started reading this book, so it only sort of counts, but I've been wanting to read it for a while now, so that I could read the book before watching the movie. I'll be interested to see if it lives up to all the hype about it! I just hope the ending isn't too unbearably sad...
4. The Museum of Intangible Things
From what I've heard online, this book is a book about two girls who go on a road trip across the country in pursuit of several intangible "things," like happiness, audacity, freedom, etc. They leave behind their slightly disappointing lives at home in hopes of finding themselves on the road. I've heard it's slightly predictable, but it still sounds like a perfect summer read!
